The beginner level covers basic situations in daily life and work, the intermediate level covers the flow of business transactions and China's trade and industries, and the advanced level focuses on business and culture.
Business Beginner: basic situations in daily life and work经贸初级汉语口语 (Vol. 1 & 2) · 53 lessons
Starting with pinyin, you learn conversations for living and working in China, such as greetings, forms of address, phone calls, hotel reservations, currency exchange, taxis, shopping, weather, and sightseeing in Beijing. Volume 2 expands to topics such as high-speed rail travel, meals, trends, the internet, holidays and shopping, PR work, sales techniques, and package delivery.
Business Intermediate: the flow of a transaction经贸中级汉语口语 (Vol. 1) · Lessons 1–20
You learn conversations for each stage of a transaction: building relationships, banquets, purchase inquiries, price negotiations, product types and quantities, discounts and commissions, payment methods, delivery and shipping, packaging, insurance, customs and inspection, contracts, debt collection, arbitration, agency, and the Canton Fair. Lesson 1, “建立联系”, covers everything from first-meeting greetings to creating an opening for business, in three dialogues.
Business Intermediate: China's trade and industries经贸中级汉语口语 (Vol. 2) · Lessons 21–40
Through topics such as China's foreign trade, trade in services, processing trade, retail, finance, capital markets, insurance, environmental industries, the information industry, intellectual property, dumping and anti-dumping, foreign-invested enterprises, and special economic zones, you learn expressions for talking about China's economy.
Business Conversation: learn a business negotiation from start to finish中级商务汉语实用会话 · 25 lessons
You learn conversations that follow the full flow of a business negotiation, from welcoming guests and banquets to opening a representative office, opening a bank account, customs clearance, placing orders, price negotiations, breaking a deadlock, closing a deal, confirming the contract, complaints, arbitration, factory tours, tariffs, OEM production, transportation, insurance, trade shows, patents, bidding, agency, and investment.
Business Advanced: business and culture经贸高级汉语口语 (Vol. 1 & 2) · 32 lessons
You read longer texts on the relationship between business and culture, such as “中国的经商热潮”, “企业文化与企业形象”, “老字号文化”, and “品牌与商标文化”. In Volume 2, you exchange opinions on themes such as food and drink, alcohol, tea, silk, clothing, ceramics, architecture, tourism, handicrafts, the Four Treasures of the Study, and famous business sayings.
Each lesson consists of the following: at the beginner level, a dialogue text, new words, notes, and exercises; at the intermediate level, several dialogues, new words, notes, and exercises (including short reading passages); and at the advanced level, a longer text, new words, notes on history and culture, and exercises (conversation, discussion, listening, and reading). All levels include English translations and explanations.

How lessons workLESSON STYLE
Lessons are 25-minute one-on-one sessions with a Chinese tutor. Lessons run every day from 6:00 a.m. to midnight, so you can study before work, during lunch, or after you get home, to fit your work schedule. You can choose any tutor you like each time.
- Read the dialogue text aloud and go over the phrases for each situation with your tutor
- Adapt the situations in the text to your own work, decide roles with your tutor, and have a conversation
- At the advanced level, practice stating your own opinions on the lesson's theme and discussing them with your tutor

Can I take this course if I haven't finished the introductory and basic level yet?
