Lesson Guidelines: Prohibition of Disruptive Behavior

To ensure that lessons run smoothly for both students and tutors, we prohibit certain disruptive behaviors.

If any of the following apply, the tutor may be unable to conduct the lesson, which can affect other students' lessons or seriously disrupt our services, so please be careful.


Defamation, slander, or abusive language toward tutors

To ensure that tutors can teach safely, we prohibit any behavior that constitutes moral harassment (psychological abuse or harassment).

If there is a problem with your tutor or you are not satisfied with how the lesson is conducted, you are welcome to let them know. However, if your behavior is deemed to constitute insult, verbal abuse, harsh scolding, or threats toward the tutor, if you shout at them, or if you say or do anything that demeans the tutor's character, we may ask you to refrain from using our services in the future.

Slander against a tutor's character, ideas, or beliefs

Please refrain from slandering or attacking a tutor's character, ideas, or beliefs.
If your behavior is deemed to fall under these categories, we may ask you to refrain from using our services in the future.

Slander against countries, nationalities, races, or ethnic groups

Please refrain from slandering or attacking a tutor's country, nationality, race, or ethnicity.
If your behavior is deemed to fall under these categories, we may ask you to refrain from using our services in the future.

Raising religiously, politically, or culturally controversial topics

Please refrain from raising religiously, politically, or culturally controversial topics that could lead to criticism or slander of the other person's country. If the tutor asks to change the topic, please switch to another topic promptly. If you continue discussing the same topic even after being warned by the tutor, we may ask you to refrain from using our services in the future.

Actions that interfere with normal operations

Please refrain from actions that interfere with the normal provision of our services, such as requesting content outside the Chinese lessons we provide or forcing unreasonable demands on tutors.

Inappropriate behavior during lessons

Please refrain from abusive language or clearly discourteous behavior toward tutors and customer support staff.

If malicious language or behavior makes it difficult for us to provide our services, we may refuse further use of our services.

Taking lessons on a smartphone or other device while driving

Please refrain from taking lessons on a smartphone or other device while driving, as it is extremely dangerous for you as well.

Taking lessons while heavily intoxicated

Taking a lesson after drinking is generally not a problem, but please refrain from taking lessons when you have drunk so much that you cannot hold a conversation.

Misuse of tutor reviews

Student reviews of tutors are currently displayed on each tutor's timetable page. We may remove reviews that are unrelated to the lesson, reviews posted for lessons that were not attended, reviews containing insults or slander, or reviews that are factually inaccurate. If reviews are frequently misused, we may refuse further use of our services.

* Even in cases other than the above, if we determine that providing our services is difficult, we may refuse further use of our services.
