Bio:
Hello, my name is Nan, and I'm from Qingdao, China. After graduating from university, I studied Japanese for about a year and a half and obtained a Level 1 Japanese Language Proficiency Test certification. I also have 6 years of experience working for a trading company focused on Japan. From now on, I'm committed to helping all NetChai members with their Chinese learning journey, so I look forward to working with you.

  • The teacher's expression was hard to read, so I ended up worrying unnecessarily (though it might also be due to my bad habit as a Japanese person). I really appreciated how quickly difficult vocabulary words were sent over with pinyin. Since I encountered some challenging words that were still difficult for my level a few times, I think it would be nice if the teacher could gauge the learner's level from the beginning and use vocabulary suited to that level.
  • The teacher has a calm and composed atmosphere, and it was very easy to understand their Japanese explanations. Today, rather than just having a conversation, they taught me about a question I had: "What do people in China do at times like this?" It was very helpful.
  • Nan-sensei is intelligent and explains things clearly and easy to understand. He provides precise guidance tailored to what I want to learn. When things get difficult, he kindly follows up in Japanese, so I feel reassured.

Important Notes on Booking and Taking Lessons

  • Bookings open up to 2 hours before the lesson OK.
  • Cancel up to 1 hour before lesson , press the cancel button. Cancellation closes 1 hour before the lesson — after that, notify your tutor via Teams chat.
  • In unavoidable circumstances, a lesson may be canceled by the tutor. If the lesson can no longer be held that day, our customer support team will arrange a substitute tutor or reschedule the lesson.
  • At the start of the lesson, your tutor will call you on Teams, so please log in to Teams and wait. (If your status is not online, the call from your tutor may not connect.)
  • If the tutor is unable to reach you within 10 minutes after the lesson start time, the lesson will be treated as an absence and canceled.
  • If your tutor hasn't called within 1 minute of the start time , please call your tutor instead. Depending on Teams status, their call may not connect. (Their Microsoft account is in your booking list on My Page.) If you cannot reach them, contact Contact Form to contact us.
  • Occasionally, tutors may face issues such as power outages or network failures. We respond as quickly as possible, but if multiple tutors are affected at once, there may be a delay. In that case, your lesson will be rescheduled — please contact Customer Support.
  • Support via Teams is limited to cases in which our customer support team needs to contact you in an emergency.
