Student reviews (latest 100):
  • From the moment the lesson started, they were dealing with me while fidgeting with their phone, and I felt stressed the whole time—it was really frustrating. I've never experienced anything like this before!!
  • I learned new vocabulary words: "privacy", "snicker", and "vigorous".
  • I learned the names of the amusement park rides, which are "Ferris wheel", "roller coaster", and "merry-go-round".
  • I also do yoga poses every day for my health, specifically the "eight-point pose" and the "fish pose".
  • That movie is "Planet of the Apes"! It's a 1960s American film, and that work was very popular, so they later added 4 sequels to it!
  • Yeah, the temperature of "Haidijao" doesn't look that high at first glance, but it's actually really hot—98 degrees Fahrenheit! If you're not careful, you'll definitely burn yourself, so you need to be a bit more cautious!
  • Radioactive hot springs are hot springs containing radioactive elements and are a type of therapeutic spring. A representative Japanese radioactive hot spring is Maji Onsen (in Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture), which is the oldest hot spring in the Kansai region of Japan. It is a therapeutic facility that began to be built in the 8th century by Buddhist monks.
  • Lacquer trees are toxic! The sap and skin contact can cause redness, swelling, itching and other symptoms. Accidental ingestion can cause severe irritation and lead to poisoning symptoms. Please be careful!
  • "Hanwoo" has the same fine meat texture and high grade as "Miyazaki beef," but the cost of investment is also relatively high, so the price is absolutely at the level of being "unaffordable." Even the most budget-friendly hanwoo costs over 200 yuan per kilogram in RMB, and the higher quality ones are even more expensive.
  • She is a bright and kind teacher. The lessons were so much fun! ♪
  • Everything is in Chinese, but the instructor taught me very politely. I think it's okay even for beginners.
  • I understood what you meant about the frozen mandarin orange - it should be Ehime No. 38, a Japanese variety, and in Japanese it's called "Iyokan". Iyo is the old name for Ehime Prefecture from the Edo period!
  • I learned that durian is the king of fruits, and that its origin is Malaysia. I haven't had the chance to try it yet, but if I get the opportunity, I'd really like to taste it!
  • In our first lesson, I was troubled by a delicate topic concerning Japan-China relations. The tutor asked me to find good points about China and Chinese people, and when I gave my answer, they responded in a way that made me wonder if they really meant it from the heart. Afterward, they said "I think Japanese media is anti-China and not good," which left me with a bad feeling. The tutor seems like a gentle and pleasant person, but I'm disappointed by how they expressed themselves.
  • Miyazaki Prefecture's Nobeoka City is where Japan's Asahi Kasei Corporation was founded, and the company has now grown into Japan's leading chemical manufacturing company.
  • I love KFC's fried chicken, but you're right that fried foods aren't great for your health, so I try to eat them only occasionally.
  • Well, in Japan there's a long-standing belief in the spirit of all things, so I feel like I should approach learning with the same mindset as a shaman in Mongolia.
  • I learned about the "Naadam Festival," which is the traditional grand festival held once a year on the grasslands, beginning in early June (often in July and August when the grass is green and flowers are blooming, and the horses and sheep are plump and strong). There are various events like wrestling, horse racing, archery, and camel racing.
  • I learned the proper way to pay respects at temples in China, which basically requires "bowing" and "kowtowing".
  • The pace was great and I really enjoyed it! Thank you so much! I look forward to our next lesson! ^ ^
  • The Amami Islands in Kagoshima Prefecture were added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in July this year, making it the fifth site in Japan.
  • The cause of the Satsuma Rebellion that occurred in the late Bakumatsu period was the incident from a year before when the Satsuma samurai in Yokohama wounded a British merchant.
  • I researched it, and the sea urchin spawn from Okinawa occurs every night from early May to late July (around 9 PM to 3 AM). It produces about 120 white roe balls, and after about 60 days of incubation they return to the sea. It's a shame that only about 1 in 5000 manage to grow!
  • I found out that for Chinese people, the "Zhizhu Special Attack Team Memorial Museum" is not that interesting.
  • I learned the animal vocabulary word "giraffe" (long-neck deer), which refers to that animal with a very long neck.
  • I rarely use the term "confinement"; in Chinese, we usually say "postpartum care" instead.
  • The tutor helped me a lot by guiding me on how to choose appropriate vocabulary and expressions. I'm really grateful.
  • The tutor carefully taught me about pronunciation, word order mistakes, and other issues, which was very helpful.
  • I really appreciate how the tutor carefully explains difficult vocabulary through chat and types out many examples for me.

  • I apologize for being away, and unfortunately our schedules didn't align.
  • Even as a beginner, I gained confidence through practical exercises that my tutor provided in the lessons.
  • I really appreciated how the tutor would give me composition problems right on the spot while practicing vocabulary. When I was able to solve the problems correctly, they would praise me in a way that resonated with my interests, which got me even more motivated.
  • I was able to have enjoyable conversations.
  • They always kindly adjust their teaching pace to match mine. Little by little, I'm becoming able to have conversations. Thank you so much!
  • Please refrain from having an unmotivated attitude or abandoning lessons. Even if it's called free conversation, this is still a lesson.
  • Out of what we discussed, the tutor helps me a lot by correctly writing down the important points and mistakes I made in my explanations, which is really helpful.
