Bio:
Hello, I'm Ess, from Heilongjiang Province. I studied Japanese for 10 years from middle school through university. My interests include anime, reading, and listening to comic storytelling. As a child, I chose Japanese as my foreign language, which I now think was truly fortunate. So, as a foreign language learner with a passion for languages like everyone else, I want to be helpful to you all. Let's study together and have fun! I look forward to working with you from now on.
Recent updates:
Ms. S started teaching lessons from February 2, 2021.
Student reviews (latest 100):
  • My new life has just begun, and I hope everything goes well in this new chapter.
  • Kabuki was originated by a courtesan from the Kumogakure country, and then the Kabuki style became very popular after imitating the courtesan's dance. So in order to prevent the disturbance of the風紀 and the chaos of the Edo period, the Edo shogunate banned all performances by female actors, and from then on, Kabuki was performed only by male actors.
  • Yes, in 2010, Kumamoto City in Japan and Ulsan City in South Korea concluded a friendly cooperation agreement between cities. There is also a town with the same name as Ulsan in Kumamoto City.
  • Yeah, Tokyo's "Ramen Tsukiji" is really popular with young people in Japan these days.
  • Thank you so much for always making the lessons enjoyable.
  • I learned the vocabulary "委托" (entrust) and that's how you use it: "Yes, I am a freelance translator, so without a委托 (client), I have no work!"
  • I'm always grateful for being able to have bright and enjoyable lessons.
  • I learned various cooking-related vocabulary such as "curry", "butter-stewed vegetables", "tomato-stewed vegetables", "dumplings", "garlic sprouts", and more.
  • Excellent! Thank you so much!
  • Today's lesson was so much fun again! I'm looking forward to the next one.
  • My pronunciation of "Macau" (澳门) isn't great, so the teacher couldn't understand me. Sigh! The pronunciation of "Macau" is really difficult!
  • I was able to have a very enjoyable lesson. I was able to use Chinese a lot, which suited my pace perfectly. Thank you so much!
  • I'm always grateful for being able to have bright and enjoyable lessons.
  • I learned how to explain the character "蕨" (warabi). It's the character "番" (ban) from "番茄" (tomato) plus three water drops and a grass radical at the top - that's how it works.
  • The tutor carefully taught me pronunciation. It was excellent. Thank you so much.
  • I learned about the classification of fish harvesting, which is "farmed" and "wild".
  • The tutor kindly taught me about myself during the introduction. Really great!
  • Oh yes, the three major denominations taught by the archbishop are Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy, and Protestantism. Catholicism is widespread in Europe, Protestantism in America, and Eastern Orthodoxy in Eastern Europe and Greece.
  • Thank you so much for teaching me grammar so carefully.
  • She taught me in a bright and polite manner.
  • I learned that the educational philosophy of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom was "Confucian thought," "theocratic thought," and "primitive communism".
  • During the lesson, I found the explanations of these vocabulary words to be quite difficult. Words like "congratulate," "respect," "produce," "et cetera," and "like" were challenging to understand.
  • She taught me very kindly and carefully.
  • I found out that the 22nd of every month in Japan is the secret day for strawberry cake.
  • I learned various expressions for describing noodles, such as "the noodles become moist," "have a chewy texture," and "very springy and slippery."
  • I learned the explanation of the character "陈" - it means "one of the most common surnames among Chinese people, ranked fifth." How about that?
  • She didn't use the camera.
  • I finally understood the explanation of "blanching", which is "first briefly parboil the fish meat in hot water, then run it through cold water".
  • Thank you so much! I would like to request your lessons again.
  • I learned the new vocabulary "極光" (aurora), and it was also the first time I found out that Tohoku University has a Qin Huangdao campus.
  • Teacher S is a wonderful instructor with a gentle and flexible approach, kindly responding to questions about conversational Chinese that go beyond the textbook.
  • Teacher Esai replaces the vocabulary from the textbook with example sentences that are commonly used in daily life in China, so when I use them with my Chinese friend who is already familiar with them, they work great.
  • Ms. Ese is very helpful as she teaches various practical Chinese phrases that are appropriate for real-life situations right away.
