Today, I studied lessons 99 and 100 from "Absolutely Master It! 100 Chinese Sentences" and lessons 1 through 99 from "Frequently Appearing in Daily Conversations! 326 Chinese Sentences." While I felt the vocabulary level became more challenging overall, I'm pushing myself hard to build my vocabulary and become able to speak more fluently!

Today, I finally memorized all the way to the last word of "Absolutely Master It! 100 Chinese Sentences." The material uses a lot of easy-to-understand, commonly-used phrases overall, and I felt my Chinese vocabulary really improved a lot.

I started learning Chinese without understanding anything at all, but the lessons are so easy to follow and I feel like I can keep going!

There were some issues with the NetChai Meeting setup, and there were also problems with the tutor's video, audio, and screen sharing.

In class, I learned that the origin of Edo-kiri (江戸切子) dates back to 1834!

Even with my imperfect Chinese, the tutor gave me the joy of conversation. They are a clever tutor who skillfully guides the discussion.

Satsuma cut-work is all handmade. It started in 1850, and then most of it disappeared during the Satsuma Rebellion in 1863. It was restored in 1985, and that's how it is!
