Today I studied lessons 10-15 from "Common Everyday Conversations! 326 Chinese Sentences." So many new words keep appearing, and I'm really enjoying learning through them.

Today I studied vocabulary with my teacher while having a casual conversation. Since I can connect the words to things I've actually experienced myself, it's really easy to remember them.

She's a good teacher, but she has some issues. The biggest concern is that she's always looking at her phone and not concentrating on the lesson. We can tell from our end. She talks a lot about what she wants to talk about. If we don't interrupt and steer the conversation, we just end up listening the whole time. She gets emotionally invested, so our intentions don't come across, and we often get swept along by the natural flow of her one-sided conversation. If we use textbooks or take the initiative to lead the lesson with a clear purpose, she has such rich knowledge and experience that I think we can have meaningful lessons!

I learned in class that "紬" (tsumugi) means "rough silk"!

Today I learned about "快~了" (kuài~le). The teacher always gives detailed explanations of grammar, and then has me practice writing sentences using that grammar. When I think about other sentences, I can apply what I've learned and it really helps my studies. I look forward to continuing with you!

I learned many new vocabulary words during the lesson, such as "补贴" (subsidy), "牢固" (solid/firm), "染色" (dyeing), and so on.
